Want to get serious about road cycling? Our Vantage 1 is an amazing place to start. Lightweight double butted 6061 alloy frame, full carbon fork, disc brakes and high volume tyres combine to create a seriously capable road bike that sets you onto the path of adventure road cycling.
The 6061 hydroformed alloy frame has double butted tube profiles which reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining strength at the welds and the internal cable routing continues the sleek aesthetic. The geometry has been updated to offer more endurance comfort for long days in the saddle while still feeling poised and eager to be ridden fast. Additionally, the custom ovalised seatstays are flattened to offer more vertical compliance, steering you away from fatigue and keeping you and your legs feeling fresh.
Shimano Claris is the benchmark for quality and comfort at an entry level price point and ensures the Vantage 1 is ready for any incline you can throw at it. It is equipped with a compact 50/34t chainset and an 11-32t cassette while Tektro mechanical disc brakes give plenty of stopping power in all weather.
Optimum tyre width remains a hot topic amongst the road cycling crowd and the Vantage range leads the way with a pair of high volume Kenda road tyres. 700x38c provides unmatched comfort on the road, tackling rough surfaces and potholes without the risk of pinch flats. The other major benefit large tyres give is versatility - why let your tyres stop you from exploring roads less traveled, whether its iconic cobbled streets or hardpacked dirt roads, bigger volume tyres let you explore beyond the realms of a traditional road bike.
