Practical, lightweight and designed for everyday journeys – the Reid Bikes Transit is a versatile commuter bike that makes getting around town and travelling by bike simple and convenient.
Built around a lightweight hydroformed alloy frame, the Transit offers responsive handling and a comfortable ride for daily commuting and recreational cycling. Internal cable routing creates a clean finish while helping protect cables from dirt and the elements. Its rigid steel fork provides a straightforward, low-maintenance setup for everyday use.
The 700c double-wall alloy wheels are fitted with Kenda 700x42mm tyres, offering a balance of rolling efficiency, grip and comfort across urban roads and cycle paths. The wider tyres help absorb minor bumps and vibrations, making longer journeys more comfortable.
A 14-speed drivetrain combines a Prowheel 46/30T alloy chainset with a Shimano 14-34T freewheel, providing a versatile range of gears for tackling hills and maintaining momentum on flatter roads. LTWOO A2 shifters and Shimano front and rear derailleurs deliver practical gear changes, while alloy V-brakes provide reliable stopping power.
Designed with everyday practicality in mind, the Reid Bikes Transit Commuter bike features frame mounts for fitting mudguards and luggage accessories, making it easy to adapt for commuting. A chainstay-mounted kickstand adds convenience when parking, while the 680mm alloy riser handlebars and comfortable saddle support a relaxed riding position.
