The Sphinx II eBike is the evolution of our Sphinx. With a whole new frame and improved geometry, it features a longer reach, steeper seat tube, slacker head tube, and shorter chain stays to really tune its downhill capability.

To smooth out the trail there’s 130mm of bump absorbing travel at both ends, you’ll be flying down the black runs. Thanks to the high torque 110nm Ananda mid drive motor there’s no waiting for the uplift either, just pedal back up!

With a 15ah battery and clear LCD display, with built in USB charging port, you can keep rolling all day. More runs = More fun!

To keep you planted and gripped to those berms the Sphinx II has 34mm stanchion SR Suntour oil damped forks front and a DNM AO-38RC air sprung oil damped rear shock to keep things under control. Both have a lockout function to stiffen up the suspension when not needed. You can even ride to the trails!

Control is everything at speed, and to make sure the Sphinx II handles as well as it looks we have installed 760mm bars, ergonomic grips, Shimano m200 hydraulic disc brakes, and 2.5” Maxxis Rekon tyres. It sticks as well as it shifts! Speaking of shifting…. The Sphinx II features MicroShift’s rugged Advent X 10 speed groupset with clutch mech ensure you never miss a gear. With a 34t no drop front chainring ring paired to a super wide 11-48t cassette you have all the range you need for the ups and downs. Take our word for it, the Sphinx II is colossal fun.

General eBike FAQ

Q. How far can I travel on a full charge?

The range you can expect depends on how hard the battery is working. This will be affected by factors like the weight of the rider, how much luggage you’re carrying, tyre pressure, hills/terrain, road condition, wind and the level of assistance or power setting you use. We will list the distance you can expect to ride under ideal conditions in the product details section of each Electric Bike. As a general guide though, the range varies from around 60km per full charge for our 10.4Ah battery hub motor eBikes, up to 100-120km+ for our 14Ah Ananda mid-mount eBikes. The dual-battery system on the KADe can even cover 150km+.

Q. How do I charge an Electric Bike and how long will it take?

Simply plug the charger into a standard wall socket at work or when you get home. To charge the battery from 0% to 80% will take 2 hours, 100% in 4 hours. Most of the time though you’ll just need to top up rather than completely refill. Charging times are similar for Bafang and Ananda systems.

Q. Can I ride an eBike in the rain?

Yes, all of these units are sealed and made for all-conditions riding.

Q. How can I safely handle and use a Li-ion Electric Bike battery?

Lithium Ion batteries are a powerful technology that have given us handy cordless tools and devices from mobile phones and laptops, to power drills, vacuum cleaners and now electric bikes.

This is an increasingly common power source that is here to stay, and is safe if handled properly. Read our full safety guide here.

Q. Is there a speed limit on ebikes?

Depending on the region of purchase, the speed limits on our E-Bikes are 25km/h or 32km/h.

Given the legal variations across regions, check your local laws.
