It’s the ultimate way to experience cycling for the first time. Plus, on Friday night, the festival is hosting a dedicated solo meet-up, perfect for finding a riding partner so nobody has to ride alone!

Frequently asked questions
What is the best type of bike for a beginner woman?
For most beginners, a comfortable gravel bike offers the best balance of confidence, comfort, and versatility. Riders wanting extra assistance on hills may prefer an e-bike.
Should beginners buy an e-bike?
Yes. E-bikes make longer rides and climbs more manageable, helping many new riders build confidence more quickly.
Do I need expensive cycling gear?
No. Comfortable clothing, trainers, water, and a helmet are enough to get started.
Can I try a Reid bike at the Girls That Ride Bikes festival?
Absolutely. At the GTRB Wild Weekender, Reid Bikes offers free demo rides so you can experience different styles before deciding which bike suits you.
