Tell us a little about yourself?
I’ve worked within the cycling industry my whole life, and my previous role took me all over the UK and Ireland where I trained technicians and provided technical support. A big part of my work involved remotely diagnosing complex issues with electric bikes, which meant problem-solving, thinking creatively, and staying calm under pressure. I really enjoy challenges like this and find a lot of satisfaction in helping riders get back on their bikes as quickly and safely as possible.
My interest in cycling started at a very young age and has been a passion ever since. I’ve always been curious about how things work, constantly asking “why?” and wanting to understand the mechanics behind everything. That curiosity, combined with my love of problem-solving, naturally led me into the technical and support side of the cycling industry, and it’s something I continue to love being a part of.

How did you get involved with Reid?
I’m currently in Australia on a working holiday visa and this opportunity came up at exactly the right time. I was travelling from Perth across the south coast toward the eastern states when I came across the role with Reid. I’ve always believed in companies that invest in their people and help them grow, and after learning that many of the team have been with Reid for several years and that the workplace culture feels like a family, it really confirmed for me.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
What I enjoy most about my role is that no two days are ever the same. Every day brings different challenges and new problems to solve, which keeps the work engaging and rewarding. I really enjoy the problem-solving aspect of the job, especially because it’s connected to something I’m genuinely passionate about: cycling. I feel pretty lucky to be able to say that when you do what you love, it never really feels like work.
What is an average day in life?
I love being active, so if I’m not at the gym when I first wake up, I’ll go for a morning walk instead. I’ll be logged on while most of my colleagues are still fast asleep due to the different time zones we work in, but it’s great to get stuck straight into the day and see what new challenges it brings.

How do you like to unwind after work?
I’m definitely not someone who enjoys sitting still! If I haven’t already been to the gym, that’s usually where you’ll find me. Living by the sea on the Sydney coastline also means I’m often out for a swim, going for a ride, or catching up with friends for a game of basketball. I also really enjoy cooking. Since moving to Australia that’s meant plenty more BBQs, but I’ve always loved making pizzas in a proper pizza oven too.
Finally, what advice would you give to non or novice cyclists out there?
Cycling is more accessible than ever for a wide range of abilities, so don’t ever feel embarrassed about getting started. It’s important to remember that everyone once started on stabilisers!
