Tell us about yourself…
Hi, my name is Rhiannon and I'm 19 years old. I am currently on my placement year as part of my Marketing degree at Bournemouth University. Outside of work, I enjoy going on walks, meeting up with friends, and visiting places I've never been before, whether that's nearby or a new country.
How did you get involved with Reid?
When I began looking for a placement, I was really keen to find a role that would give me practical experience and help grow my skill set. That's when I came across Reid. The role caught my attention due to its international focus and the chance to be involved in projects that have a wide reach. After learning more about the company and its values, I felt it would be great for what I was looking for and I'm really excited to be part of the team.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
What I enjoy most about the role is the variety. No two days are the same, which keeps things interesting and engaging. I really like how it blends analytical thinking with creativity; one day I might be working with spreadsheets, and the next I’m helping with website updates or creating content. The team has also been so welcoming and supportive, which has made settling in really easy. It’s a great environment to learn and grow in.
What is an average day in the life of Rhiannon?
As an International Marketing intern, the variety of tasks keeps things interesting. I usually start my day by checking my emails and to-do list to see what I have to get done for the day. After work, I like to take my dog for a walk, watch a series or listen to a podcast, and meet up with friends.
How do you like to unwind after work?
After work, I like to unwind by going on a walk to get some fresh air, especially if the weather is nice. I also like to catch up on any series that I have missed or listen to a podcast. Some evenings I will meet up with friends, usually at the pub or just for a night in.
Advice for non or novice cyclists?
My advice would be to just give it a go and not overthink it. You don't need to be an expert; just start at your own pace and build your confidence over time. Cycling is a great way to clear your mind, explore new places and meet friends.
